What Is It?
Cheek augmentation enhances the projection, fullness, and contour of the cheekbones to create a more defined and youthful mid-face. It can be achieved with solid silicone implants, fat grafting, or dermal fillers, each with different permanency and recovery profiles.
How It Works
For implants, incisions are made inside the mouth or below the eyelid, and a shaped silicone implant is placed directly over the zygomatic (cheekbone) arch and secured. For fat grafting, the patient's own fat is harvested from another area and injected in small droplets. Filler is injected at specific points to add volume and height.
Realistic Results
Implants provide permanent cheekbone projection and facial width. Fat grafting gives a soft, natural-looking fullness with approximately 60–70% fat survival. Fillers offer immediate but temporary (12–18 months) enhancement.
Recovery
