What Is It?

Radiofrequency skin tightening uses electrical energy to heat the dermis and subcutaneous layers to stimulate collagen contraction and new collagen production. It addresses mild to moderate skin laxity on the face, neck, and body without surgery, and is suitable for all skin types.

How It Works

RF energy is delivered via a handpiece that heats the dermis to 40–45°C. The heat denatures existing collagen, causing immediate contraction, and stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen over the following 3–6 months. Popular devices include Thermage, Venus Freeze, Exilis, and Profound RF.

Realistic Results
