What Is It?
A thigh lift removes excess skin and fat from the inner or outer thighs, improving contour and eliminating skin folds that develop after massive weight loss or with ageing. The procedure reshapes the thighs for a smoother, more proportionate appearance.
How It Works
For an inner thigh lift, an incision is made in the groin crease and, for more extensive cases, extends vertically down the inner thigh. Excess skin is removed, the underlying tissue is tightened, and the incision is closed. Liposuction may be combined. The scar is concealed in the groin crease for smaller procedures.
Realistic Results
Slimmer, more contoured thighs with significantly reduced rubbing and skin fold issues. Results are long-lasting if weight is maintained. The inner thigh scar in the groin crease fades well; a vertical scar, if needed, is more visible.
Recovery
Compression garments worn for 6 weeks. Walking is encouraged early. Activity restriction for 4–6 weeks. Incision lines in the groin take longer to heal due to moisture; careful wound care is essential.
Risks & Complications
- !Scar migration downward over time
- !Wound healing complications in the groin crease
